Prof. Andrey Koptyug, Mid Sweden University, Sweden, will join the Skin Ageing & Challenges 2024 Conference to present his latest research: "Substances Promising Active Skin Rejuvenation Effectively Support Fast Skin Wound Healing".

Prof. Koptyug will discuss substances that not only promote active skin rejuvenation but also accelerate wound healing. His presentation will highlight the dual benefits of these compounds, making them attractive candidates for both cosmetic and therapeutic applications.

In his talk, Assoc. Prof. Andrey Koptyug will describe preliminary results of research and perspectives of using substances that have rejuvenating potential for tissue regeneration and deep skin wound healing.

Specifically, the talk will cover the results of animal model experiments using hyaluronate gel-based compositions, and initial trials of deep skin wound treatment in middle age and elderly volunteers.

Additionally, the talk will present a suggestion that effective tissue regeneration and accelerated healing of deep infected skin wounds is due to a simultaneous effect of intensified cell proliferation and apoptosis supported by a pronounced antimicrobial activity of corresponding substances.
