Skin Challenges 2025 Special Session: Senolytic & Senomorphic Agents – Strategies and Impact on Rejuvenation

Why a session dedicated to Senescence?

Cellular senescence is a key driver of skin ageing, contributing to loss of elasticity, impaired wound healing, and chronic inflammation.

Understanding the mechanisms of senescence and developing targeted interventions — such as senolytics to eliminate senescent cells and senomorphics to modulate their effects — are crucial strategies to promote skin rejuvenation and healthy ageing.

This session will highlight innovative research on:
  • Cellular senescence and its role in ageing skin
  • Senolytics and senomorphics in dermatology
  • Stem cell-based rejuvenation strategies
  • Molecules and drugs for skin regeneration
