Poster Presentation Award 2022: Fisetin Might Prevent UVA- Induced Ageing
Thi-Hung Le, Jeonbuk National University (Korea) was discerned the Skin Ageing & Challenges Best Poster Presentation Award 2022 for his Poster “Fisetin Inhibits UVA-Induced Expression of MMP-1 and MMP-3 Through the NOX/ROS/MAPK Pathway in Human Dermal Fibroblasts and Human Epidermal Keratinocytes”.
In his poster, Dr. Le indicated that fisetin inhibits the NOX/MAPK/AP-1 pathway, which is responsible for UVA-induced MMP-1 and MMP-3 expression. He suggested that fisetin might be used to prevent UVA- induced skin aging and modulate NOX expression, and that measuring NOX activity might be a useful biomarker of MMP activity.
