Dr. Sandra Freitas-Rodríguez from Nanovex Biotechnologies S.L., Spain, will give a presentation entitled "Reprogramming Skin Aging: RNA Nanoparticles as Next-Generation Tools to Reverse Senescence and Restore Extracellular Matrix Homeostasis" during Skin Ageing & Challenges 2025.

Dr. Sandra Freitas-Rodríguez will highlight: Cellular senescence drives skin aging by impairing ECM integrity. This study demonstrates that lipid nanoparticles delivering HES1 mRNA can actively reverse senescence signatures in aged dermal fibroblasts. HES1 overexpression reshaped key signaling pathways, restored ECM-related gene expression, and reduced senescence markers, as confirmed by RNA-seq. These findings highlight HES1 mRNA–LNP therapy as a cutting-edge strategy for molecular skin rejuvenation and next-generation anti-aging treatments.
