About Prof. Christopher Griffiths

Professor of Dermatology in King's College London and Emeritus Professor University of Manchester, he is the third most cited dermatologist in the world; editor-in-chief of Rook's Textbook of Dermatology and awarded an OBE for services to dermatology in the 2018 Queen's New Year's Honours. 

Professional Contributions:

Involved in skin ageing research for more than 30 years. Whilst at the University of Michigan, Prof. Griffiths was part of the team that elucidated the mechanism of action of topical retinoids for repair of photoaged skin and maintains a strong interest in skin ageing including developing Night Repair Therapy for The Skin Diary and helping develop Boot's No. 7 range for aged skin. His current research focuses on prevention of ageing and dissecting the pathomechanisms of inflammaging.
