Dr. Kohei Ogura, Kanazawa University, Japan, will join Skin Ageing & Challenges 2022 to talk about “Skin Physiology and Two Staphylococci Associated with the Recurrence of Pressure Injuries”.

Preventing recurrent pressure injuries (also called pressure ulcer) is one of the important challenges faced in healthcare of bedridden people. A prospective observational study was conducted in a long-term care facility in Japan with patients whose pressure injuries had healed. Dr. Ogura will talk about skin physiology and its microbiome as factors crucial for the recurrence of pressure injury.
