Prof. Shigefumi Okamoto, from Institute for Frontier Science Initiative, Kanazawa University, Japan will join the Skin Ageing & Challenges 2021 Congress and will give a presentation entitled “How to Collect Skin Bacterial Flora on Fragile Skin: Practical Aspects of Medical Film Dressings and Strategies“.

Prof. Okamoto will describe the studies conducted in order to collect the skin microbiome easily and accurately. They have proposed a method using medical film dressing. However, if the film dressing has a strong adhesion, there is a risk of damaging fragile skin. They have examined the materials of film dressing adhesives that can be collected safely, easily, and accurately for fragile skin such as the elderly, and they would like to introduce the contents.
