Menopause, iron, and aging skin: Is there a connection?

Dr. Xi Huang, i-On Skincare , Inc., USA, will join us in Lisbon to present his latest studies on “Menopause, iron, and aging skin: Is there a connection?”
Iron is the best-known transition metal in producing reactive oxygen/nitrogen species, causing inflammation, initiating lipid peroxidation, and taking part in estrogen metabolism and glycosylation. Excess iron is excreted through skin in a non passive manner. In the presentation, molecular mechanisms of iron excretion through skin will be discussed, particularly in the context of older postmenopausal women. By identifying iron as the cause with further investigation, we may provide the appropriate prevention and treatment solutions for skin aging and photoaging.
Join us this November in Lisbon to learn about the most research on skin aging.
